The crank case breather system takes the blow-by gasses from your engine's compression stroke and returns them back into the engine to be burned again (recycled) by venting them into the air box.
However because the crank case is full of oil and combustion byproduct vapors, those vapors are sent back into the combustion chamber where they form deposits on the position crown and valves.
Bypassing these vapors away from the air box will eliminate these carbon build up deposits in your top end and a milky oil vapor / water vapor build up under the air filter and mineral deposits on the throttle body.
This is the same set up we use on our Baja 1000 race and team bikes.
