A: We’ve invested considerable time, effort and expense to offer a tune and configuration worthy of the Taco Moto name and ironclad guarantee. When you ride one of our tunes you can expect a crisp and clean throttle response, lower engine temps in before and after comparative ride tests, cleaner smoother power, increased power and performance equal to any race ECU. Our enduro map is light years ahead of the OEM enduro soft map and is like a ‘cheat mode’ for hill climbs, loose terrain and slippery conditions. All our tunes are put through the beat-down by Mike and the team of cracker-jack test riders in conditions ranging from the deserts of Baja to the high mountain passes of Colorado and everywhere in between. Mike is pretty obsessive about what he puts on the site and these maps are completely worthy of the Taco Moto name.
A: We've spent years building a global reputation of rider trust with our service, products and our Baja tested Baja proven philosophy. We also chose to work with Dynojet and their most experienced tuning engineer on our remap product, and those guys are the top name in the game for all things engine tuning and performance. In fact they're the only company to offer both a dyno and the integrated tuning software that tie them both together for the best accuracy and performance possible. The partnership of Taco Moto and Dynojet together with the team of industry experts and test riders we've assembled make this an entirely next level option in the ECU reflash game. We're so confident of that, if you don't agree, we'll give you your money back.
A: No, our tune won’t trip the CEL on any bikes.
Q: Can I run the stock exhaust and end cap with your tune?
A: The OEM muffler is a well-built unit well with strong materials and has great performance potential. However the stock enduro bike end-caps are up to 80% air flow obstructed and retain too much heat in the engine and choke back power. We like the stock muffler but not the end cap. A terrific and cost effective solution is swapping it out for the Pro Moto Billet unit. You might also want to look at the multiple slip-on and full system options available on our site as well. Whichever way you go, an open and free-flowing muffler is key to extracting the full potential of our tunes.
Q: What are the areas of the tune that your reflash improves?
A: Depending on the bike make, year and model - tuned areas may include: fuel and ignition calibrations, start up fueling, injector latency scaling, decel fuel cut off, ignition dwell timing, injection timing, feedback fuel, cranking fuel, after start enrichment, decel compensation, global barometric compensation, intake air temp compensation, throttle tip-in settings, sensor scaling, and a few others that are part of our secret sauce.
Q: My bike pops and snaps on decel, will a reflash solve that?
A: Possibly. Most deceleration popping on the Austrian bikes happens on the 12-19 enduro machines and is caused by the PAIR air injector pump which can be removed in a race bike conversion.
Q: What about removing the t-stat
A: We ride our bikes year around and in all weather and temperature conditions, so for us leaving in the t-stat means a better running bike in any and all conditions. If you primarily ride hard-enduro or in temps above 65-70f you might consider removing it, otherwise leave it in.
Q: Will my fuel mileage drop?
A: Possibly. You’ll be having way more fun on your bike so you’ll likely be riding faster and with more spirited throttle inputs and that will have an effect. But we also have an economy cruise tune and that should keep things similar to stock.
Q: Should I break in my engine before doing the flash?
A: We break in all of our new bikes on a tuned ecu and find it offers better ring sealing and overall engine durability than with the stock tune.
Q: If I remove the intake reeds will my boot collapse in on itself, and do I need one of those aluminum tubes that claim to prevent this and improve power?
A: The myth of collapsing intake boots propigated on certain YouTube channels is a complete sales fabrication and false claim, and our testing demonstrats mixed results with an intake airhorn. During multiple testing sessions on multiple bikes we found they can improve power up to 2-3 HP in the mid range, but then loose up to 7-8 on the top end. We neither sell nor recommend them, nor do we advise using them in your bike.
Q: Will I see any performance or power gains by removing the backfire screen on my OEM intake filter cage?
A: While it's a myth that it will, plenty of riders believe it does. Testing demonstrates that in fact it won't, however ‘placebo power’ is a real thing, so your results may vary.
Q: Is there anything specific I should do to my bike to extract the best possible performance?
A: Testing has proven that the best running bikes will have an open exhaust and the reeds removed.
Q: Do I need to worry about any basic settings like throttle position sensor or idle speed?
A: Not if those things are in factory specification. If the TPS sensor has not been adjusted from the base setting it shouldn't need adjustment or calibration. The idle speed on your bike should routinely be checked and verified as part of your basic maintenance program.
MORE INFO
Q: What fuels do we use for our tunes?
A: Fresh 91-93 10% ethanol unleaded
Q: Can I run this tune at high altitude or in a snow bike?
A: Absolutely. The Taco Tune is fully designed for bikes running from sea level to 19,024 feet - which is the highest passable road in the world in Umling La Pass, India. It's also completely ready to go full-send in snow bikes, trail cruisers, Baja 1000 rippers, BDR bikes, Sunday speedsters and anything else in between.
Q: How do I ship you my ECU?
A: For riders in the US, we’ll email you a free shipping call tag. Place your ecu in a plastic bag with the air removed and safely pack that into a small sturdy shipping box, do not use an envelope or bubble mailer. Print and tape the shipping call tag to the box and drop it off with the applicable shipping company. Label your ECU with your name, bike year and model. If you have special return shipping instructions include these in writing.
Q: What’s the expected wait time for my ecu to be returned?
A: Depending on your proximity to Las Vegas, ground shipping may take 1-5 days. We'll return most ecu's in one business day, however based on seasonal backlogs this may take up to three. You could plan on the same 1-5 days for the return shipping from Las Vegas to you. NOTE that all shipping times mentioned here are ESTIMATED and external impacts like carrier interruptions or unexpected delays due to work force shortages, holidays, weather etc. cannot be anticipated and are not our responsibility.
Q: Do you have an option for express flash / overnight shipping or core swap?
A: Yes, please contact us for more information. You might also consider the ‘tune at home’ program which eliminates the need to remove the ecu from the bike.

"At the sake of sounding like a know it all, I've been riding dirtbikes for 45 years, former club racer, MX juniors champion, SOCAL desert series rat, and on and on. I know what a good running bike feels like, how it should pull, how it should settle after it comes off of the power, how it should ride in all situations from low end all the way to the redline - and you guys got it right. Something tells me this was tested with factory KTM riders because this tune feels every bit as good as the secret 350 bike I rode in Barstow a few years ago. Nice job fallas. Taco Moto customer for life here."

"So much fun, so much smooth power, so much better than stock. Night and day. I now have a bike I like to ride and no longer want to sell it, that's how disappointed I was with the stock power. Thanks to you guys, whatever you did it worked!"
Denny, Ambler PA

"In one step (three really), I went from hating this 2025 500 EXCF to LOVING IT. However you guys did it, I don't really know or care but YOU DID IT. It wasn't that big of a deal or that expensive either. For $325 or whatever it was you did my reflash, For $259 I put on the PMB end cap, and for free I ripped out those reeds. So for what, $584 I now have a bike that Mike in a video says I'd be competitive in the Baja 1000 on. Sign me up! In my dreams right. But I can attest that this bike RIPS now and I'm completely in love with the tune, the bike, the sound, the everything. Plan on a ton of business there guys because all of my buddies have ridden this thing and all are saying they want the same set up. I better improve my ride skills because I still need to beat them. Thanks again Taco Moto."
Tommy P, Del Rio, TX

"Legends man, the Taco guys just seem to be firing on all cylinders these days from what I can tell, and this flash tune proves yet again how you guys are leading the field in the sport. I'm finding this FE350 has the kind of power I need in the east coast woods racing I do and the casual riding too. She starts instantly and revs out like a banshee. Too much fun guys, thanks"

“24 GasGas EW500f, Pro Moto end cap, and removed reeds
Put in a couple hours Sunday in Western, PA. Bike started instantly every-time, never over heated, no codes, fan worked correctly and not one single flash out! Lugged up muddy rocky hills with ease and pulled liked a freight train in the straights. Glad I waited and 100% recommend.”

"I purchased the flash at home Powervision 3 for my 2022 KTM 500 EXC.
The tunning process was super easy and the diagnostics with the PV3 are very handy.
Ride review: The bike absolutely rips! It will power wheelie in all the gears but 6th. The power is very smooth with no dead spots. I highly reccomend getting you ecu flashed or flashing it yourself through taco moto!"
Adam Y, Maine

"Dude, your tune is a total game changer - night and day from the (name removed) tune I fought with before yours. The bike finally idles smooth without wild ups and downs, and the throttle response…instant and razor-sharp! The (name removed) tune had a weird lag with a sudden jolt that would snap my head back.
It also had my bike running hot; my header would glow red! Your tune is smooth, predictable, and seriously responsive… and no glowing red header! I'm 100% stoked - your tune has me smiling like a maniac lol.
Also… just a little venting… the (name removed) guy had me buying all kinds of shi* to try and fix the issues. Removed the thermostat for a straight shot thing they sold me, testing for an air leak, testing fuel pressure, etc. Finally I had to take it to a KTM dealer and paid for diagnostics. I was just throwing money away. Every time I told (name removed) it has to be the tune, I would just get push back. I wanted to reach out to you sooner, but I didn't have the money for a full race ecu, so when I saw that you guys had a reflash now I jumped on it right away. So super stoked about this tune!"

“Last weekend I took the bike out for the first time after being Taco tuned. Power delivery and flame out issue was so much better compared to stock. Bike was riding and running great for the first hour. I took a big hill in 3rd that was pretty rough, halfway up I lost all power above half throttle. It would just bog anywhere below half throttle.
I knew it was late on a Saturday but decided to reach out to Taco Moto anyways. Obviously got voicemail on a Saturday night, but to my surprise Sunday morning I got a text from Taco Moto asking how they could help.
They told me to double check the reeds to make sure they didn’t pop loose…. Sure enough, the reeds were just hanging out inside the air filter blocking off the flow. Once I removed them the bike ran flawless.
Super happy with the customer service from Taco as well as the bikes performance.”

"Wow guys - no words. This thing RIPS! Like insane how good it runs. I'm headed to Baja next week and you all got this to me fast and the way it rides is amazing. You were so right about the Pro Moto end cap and silent insert. Yes it's louder than stock, which is what I wanted, but it's not ridiculous at all. Great sound, great power, in fact everything you suggested that I bought is making me five stars happy. Great work everyone."

"I just got my first ride in with the Taco Moto "race-power" ECU tune (done with the Power Vision 3 self tuner!)
Bike is a '24 501s with end cap change and reeds removal.
I have been using the JD tuner (NOW FOR SALE), which I would say is VERY good for the money.
That said, this Taco Tune absolutely rips!
At first I thought power was roughly the same as the JD (which is night and day from stock,) but then I realized I was riding a gear or two higher, which the tuner would never let me get away with.
The power is also very SMOOTH and I had no issue with flameouts, hesitancy, or backfiring while riding either.
I am very impressed, and looking forward to having access to different maps for other applications."

"I wanted to circle back after giving the TacoMoto ECU reflash a solid shakedown at the 2025 Biltwell 100. I’m running a 2019 Husqvarna FE501, it's desmogged, the reeds are removed, and I’ve got the stock exhaust with a Fastway end cap.
When the bike was new it was hard starting, stalling on descents or long flats, and occasional surging at steady throttle (especially on the highway). At the time, the only solid option seemed to be the Vortex ECU, but I wasn’t ready to spend that kind of cash. I went with the JD Jetting piggyback tuner, which helped reduce flameouts, but didn’t fully solve the hard starts or surging.
When I heard TacoMoto was releasing a mail-in ECU reflash, I knew it was the move. I’ve had great experiences with your other products and felt confident you’d stand behind the service.
I mailed in my ECU using the prepaid label, and just a few days later it was back—complete with stickers and root beer barrels (classic TacoMoto touch). Reinstall took less than minute. After bolting the plastics back on, I hit the starter and—VROOOM—the bike came alive. It immediately sounded smoother and crisper. I was already feeling like I had a new machine.
Fast forward three weeks: I’m on the start line at the Biltwell 100. Three 25-mile loops of desert brutality. The bike did not skip a beat.
Smooth, consistent power
No decel pop
No surging
Cold starts = no problem
Fuel use only increased slightly (likely due to race intensity)
The day before the race, I did a 40-mile warm-up ride and really noticed how much more refined and rideable the tune was.
Bottom line: The JD tuner helped, but the TacoMoto ECU reflash transformed the bike. If you want your machine to perform the way it should—whether you’re trail riding or racing—this is 100% the way to go.
Huge thanks to Mike and the TacoMoto crew for dialing it in. Couldn’t be happier with the results."

"WOW guys, what can I say, another home run from Taco Moto. I've been a loyal customer for the last few years now and have built out two bikes mostly with your parts. In the past I've been a big fan of the Vortex ecu's but on this most recent build the cash has been a bit tight so I was looking for a lower cost alternative with same or better performance if possible. I saw the Instagram post about the reflash and because it's Taco Moto I knew I could trust it 100% so I went for it. Absolutely blown away at how good the bike rides now with the Graves slip on muffler. You guys are the true KTM experts out there and I send everyone I know who rides one your way. Never any regrets ever with you guys. Thanks for everything."

"Not knowing much about FI bikes, I wanted my bike to sound better and run better so I purchased an FMF muffler and as soon as I installed it the bike ran terribly, it chugged and lurched and I thought my engine was being damaged. I bought a so-called fueling dongle from (business name removed) and installed it and it helped the bike start better but the power was still not right and the check engine light was flashing. The guy at (business name removed) send me another dongle and it's still the same thing. After reading reviews on a Facebook group about the Taco Moto Tune I reached out to Alex and he assured me I would be much more happy with the tune so I sent in the ecu and after riding the bike for a few weeks now I can attest that Alex was totally right, this bike is running smooth, cool and great."
Thomas S, Richardson TX

"This turned out way better than I expected, my bike is fully alive and it pulls like a freight train. Seems to be running cooler but summer riding will prove that out. 2025 KTM 500EXC-F, Graves slip on with insert, stock header, stock air filter, reeds removed, stock gearing."
Jimmy Y, Colorado

"Put in about 40 miles of tough New England rock gardens with the (company name removed) tune.
At low RPM, I couldn’t really feel a difference over stock, but in the second half of each gear, the power delivery became more noticeable. It didn’t feel very smooth though, it felt very inconsistent. Each gear felt like it had a different delivery. My main goal was to eliminate flameouts, and it did help with that, but I didn’t feel like it added any real power.
After having my ecu re-done with the TACO tune, I did notice higher RPMs and a snappier throttle response, as if I had installed a snappier throttle cam. Yours felt similar to the (company name removed) tune in the second half of the gear, but where it really stood out was in the low RPM range, the first half of each gear. I didn’t have a single flameout. On the road It reminded me of riding a friend’s H2 street bike - it just wants to go! 350 EXCF"

"Just finished the Arizona BDR on the Taco map ECU tune and I'm super impressed with it on my 21 FE501. Started every morning as good as stock, idled good, ran smooth and clean. The fact that I didn't have to pay any attention to anything with the tune made me realize how spot on it is, a total no drama ride situation. I would do it again without hesitation."

“So I know there’s other reflash tuning companies out there on the market, and I’ve been trying to decide which way to go for my bike. Watching all the videos, asking in forums and groups, and time and time again the name that kept coming up was Taco tuning. Since I’m fairly new to GASGAS dirt bikes I wasn’t familiar with them, but I saw on the site their tuning software is from Dynojet and being a Harley and Indian guy from the way back I’m very familiar with them. So that’s all it took for me, I’ve since had my ecu back for about a month now and I’m very impressed with how well my bike is running. No complaints at all.”
Chuckie W, Madison WI
~~
“After I bought my bike I sent in my ecu to (company name removed) because at the time they were the only ones I could find doing flash options. I was happy with it and had done some rides and also a race on it.
I saw a video on the Taco YouTube channel about the Taco option that was available and have loved their products for years so I immediately ordered that tune and sent in my ecu for a real world comparison test between the two tunes.
Let me tell you there’s a difference. Starting and idling was about the same. Pulling away though I could tell the Taco flash was smoother and had more power, easily noticeable on the first ride. It would pull wheelies (my bike is a Supermoto) way stronger and the power just had more punch everywhere. Bike sounded better too I think, that might just be in my head though LOL.
Well done guys, no regrets. I’d skip over the (company name removed) tune next time and just get yours instead if I had it do do all over again”
Donne F, 2024 500EXCF

“I started with a piggyback tuner from (company removed) and ProMoto Billet end cap on my 2024 FE501S and felt a substantial increase in power and flame-outs were mostly cured. Then when the TacoMoto stock ECU ship-in remap came available, I liked the idea of getting rid of the (brand removed) piggyback tuner and extra wiring under my seat. After getting my ECU back, uninstalling the tuner, and going on a few test rides I can say the remap is fantastic. The low rpm rideability is very very noticeable. I cannot say it enough. The bikes low speed on/off throttle is much more smooth, and I can chug along now barely above idle. It’s my favorite thing about the new map by far, and I find myself riding at least 1 gear higher than I used to. Next I realized the bike pulls much harder in the upper rpms too. I didn’t think it could get any faster than it was, but the top end now pulls like crazy all the way to redline. I already loved this bike, but with the TacoMoto remap I’m blown away.”
Jackie M.

“I was really happy how smooth the idle was compared to stock. But when I was able to really open it up, the power delivery is crazy impressive! It hooks up and just takes off like a rocket ship. Much more than I was expecting! I came back with a silly grin plastered to my face. This is an essential upgrade!”
Scott P, Georgia

“Very happy with the reflash on my 25EXE 500. I removed the screen off the muffler kept the stock muffler. I pulled the reeds, that’s it and with the reflash the bike runs excellent. I run fire roads and a lot of muddy single track in PA very happy so far. Thank you.”
John Z
~~
“I had the reflash done on a 2020 Husky FE350 and I’m stoked! I’ve put in around 150 miles of both single track and desert trails around Moab, and the improvements are noticeable. It just smoothed everything out and made power delivery better; and it doesn’t stall as easily in the slow speed stuff. I never thought my bike ran poorly before the reflash, but it sure does run better after the reflash. I combined it with a Promoto end cap and the combo is the best mods I’ve done to the bike. I’d recommend it for sure!”
Josh S
~~
“The reflash process with the PV3 was super quick and easy. Plug it in, hit the buttons, bike flashed in a couple of minutes. Going from bone stock to Taco’s Race Tune with an FMF slip-on was night and day. Bike starts like butter immediately every time. Power is smooth and consistent across the entire rev range. And I can hardly keep the front wheel down in 3rd gear. Just an absolute animal now. I can’t believe how many 500s I’ve owned and ridden over the years without tuning. It’s a non-negotiable for me moving forward!”
Mark H

“As a 68 year old rider with 58 years experience I was satisfied with how my bike ran stock, but was curious of what all the reflash hype was all about. After installing the fastway end cap, removing the reeds, and Your reflash to my bone stock 500, I was pleasantly surprised at how much easier it was to start, Idle, and feels much smoother in all RPM ranges,
and more tractable at low speeds. I'm impressed and Happy that I had made the decision to go with your Taco Moto reflash..well worth the $”

“My ‘24 exc-f 350 feels like it runs smoother, it’s definitely got more pop. I opted for the end cap rather than a slip on exhaust. It sounds great. The race tune has some snap to the throttle that’s for sure. I am very pleased with it. I am excited for what’s next regarding the secondary map that I hear you’re working on. Your team has been great to work with and responsive via email and phone.”

“The ECU reflash has been a success! I took my 24 KTM 500 EXC-F to Loretta Lynn's Ranch last week for the MTDR's spring ride. The bike ran flawless and rocketed up the hills of Tennessee. I am totally satisfied with the bike's performance. It is a significant improvement from the stock programming and I would recommend it to someone looking to save some cash by utilizing their existing ECU.”

“Me: 62yrs, old enduro/XC racer, trail builder. I have a 1090R, ES700, 500EXCF, and a TX300.
The 500 new was as expected: lean and flat. The exhaust tip was the most noticeable improvement. The scooter had more power but was criminally lean. Next was the (brand removed) piggyback to see if I could add some fuel in the most used RPM range. BIG improvement. Now I could power wheelie in 2nd gear with the stock gearing. I was content.
I always wondered how much better a comprehensive tune could be. I watch Taco Mike content on YT and your builds have a lot of race ECUs on them, and I presumed the aftermarket ECUs were for the desert. When you offered up the mail-in flash service, I thought, well why not?
ECU out, flashed ECU in, removed piggyback. Test ride around the block: HUGE bark right off idle. Oh boy I have to get out of town! Now I can do 3rd gear roll-on wheelies and It's a riot to ride. The added power from idle to 5K RPM is very usable but the clutch remains by best friend on single track. Less gear rowing everywhere else.
This 500 is the favorite of all my bikes.”

“The performance of my 2023 FE350s with the Taco Moto's PV3 ECU reflash significantly improved the rideability of my bike in single track woods. No more stalls and the improved progressive response has been a game changer for my riding!
I’m a 42, 6'4", 220lbs and have been riding exclusively fire roads/single track for about 9 years and riding overall for 22 and I would say I am a solid intermediate rider.
I do my own bike maintenance and have installed a number of Power Commanders, exhausts, air intakes systems, protective parts, headlights etc, and remapping the ECU with the PV3 thanks to Mike's video was a breeze. Probably the easiest modification I have ever done.
After the tune my bike stalls out 99% less, throttle response is much more progressive which is great when going through tight slow trail sections. Before the flash I was thinking about getting a Surron Ultra Bee to ride more enduro but now with the ECU updates, I think I am going to hold off on that.”

“Taco bros, like magic, this bike now is ridable like I hoped it would be. Just came back from riding the new tune in baja for the first time, my buddies have been trying to get me down there for years now. Did on my new 25 500 EXCF and I hated the stock power and stalling, didn’t have the power to get out of it’s own way. SO MUCH BETTER. This new power, the new sound, the new throttle response. I’m a big fan of Taco Moto parts already, have a ton on this new bike, and this ECU tune is by far the fav. 25 500, Graves slip on, stock gearing, Dunlop tires. Can’t wait to see what you guys do with this fuel pump problem.”
Timmy W, Chandler AZ
“The Taco maps work like a champ. Best option for me vs the much more expensive options out there. Makes the bike run clean and powerful. Thanks guys for your focus and efforts on providing an excellent product.....and kudos on answering the phone when I call, deeply appreciated.”

“I love my new Dynojet PV-3 tuner for my 24 EXC-f 350! I debated between this or a Get, Aim, Vortex ecu, and chose the PV-3 for the price and flexibility, my kids have dirt bikes that I can also flash.
I'm not the most computer savvy and the most complicated part was unclipping the diagnostic connector on the bike!! Lol.
The tune with the Pro Moto Billet End Cap completely changed my bike and the power increase is noticeable with the Race Tune. It is also very smooth and feels linear. The bike idles nicely and I haven't had any flame outs. The service at Taco Moto has been phenomenal. I sent a few emails to the Taco Moto Team and got quick replies late at night and during weekend!
I live in Eastern Canada and shipping was good. I like the no surprise option. The order was stuck in Customs for a few days, but that's outside everyone's control. I'm glad that I went for the flash at home option, and I’ve used my PV3 to clear some codes already and I’ve been playing around with the Dynojet software. I hope the team at Taco Moto continues to chase perfection,, we all benefit from it !”

“Super simple to plug in and install the PV3 tuner and so far I've liked the whole thing and the bike is full badassery. Throttle is sooo much smoother. TACO MOTO WINS AGAIN!! And the braaap spray can sticker is rockin man. Braaap on!!”

“2021 KTM 500 EXC F, From day 1 the KTM 500 just didn’t work right. It’s hard to explain unless you own one, it’s basically impossible to ride in the woods at slow technical speeds.
So I opted to go with the Taco / Dynojet PV3 flash system and Pro Moto Billet End Cap. And it all went on fast, after about 45 minutes I had the end cap on, the ECU was flashed as was ready to test.
FIRST IMPRESSION: The lackluster performance down low on the 500 has been eliminated.
Taco Moto was able to accomplish 3 things, which was the deciding factor in my purchase of the PV3 / Fast Way end cap
1: You will only need simple hand tools.
2: At home tune. This is where the Hot Sauce Magic happens. Remove seat, verify battery has a full charge, connect PV3 to the diagnostic coupler, press a few buttons, ECU rewrite is complete.
3: The heat on your right leg / fan constantly running is reduced dramatically.
SUMMARY: It’s SPOT ON RIDICULOUS POWER. The bike does not stall at slow technical speed, flame out, pop on decel, etc. All the nuisances have been eliminated. Absolutely a different bike.
If you’re reluctant to dive into fuel management/exhaust modifications for whatever reason, THIS TUNE IS FOR YOU! You can re-write the Factory KTM map and flash it back to stock OEM settings if ever needed.
Top speed indicated is 100+ and it gets there fast. No more annoying restart. No more burning sensation on right leg. You can blip the throttle to rev match down shifts, the map is spot on.
TRUST THE TACO!”

“The ecu flash worked exactly as promised. It’s perfect that it comes with the stock or reset mode, the de-smog stock silencer, or a slip on. I stayed with the oem silencer and it’s worked great. The bike feels livelier, much easier to lift the front now. No stalling issues or flame outs. The mpg doesn’t seem affected.
It’s very easy to install, I’m happy I found this option.”

“Can’t thank you all enough. I recently had the ECU from my 2021 Husqvarna FE350 tuned through Taco Moto’s mail-in service, and the difference it made is night and day. Before the tune, I was constantly battling flame-outs, especially in technical sections when the rpm’s were around idle. It was frustrating and made the bike harder to enjoy; this was a last ditch effort before I traded it in. After the Taco Moto tune, the flame-outs are completely gone. Throttle response is smoother, more precise, and there’s a noticeable increase in power across the entire rev range. It seriously transformed the way the bike rides. Highly recommend it.”

"When I bought my 24 500 XW-F I wanted to race Baja on it and, but hated the power and throttle response, so I did a little internet research and heard about (company name removed) and bought a power bundle kit that included an intake tube and some other parts. The bike ran well and I liked the new power. In the process of getting the bike ready for Baja pre-running later this summer I Joined a Facebook group about these bikes and herd about Taco Moto for the first time and saw they offered a $99 flash service for anyone who'd already had an ecu flashed by another company and liked what they had to say about the tune in their FAQ on the site. I watched the video with Dusty talking about it and became even more interested in switching tunes. Now that I have my ecu back from them I can attest that my bike is improved yet again. This new tune is smoother, more powerful, cleaner running and completely stall free. When I asked mike about the tube in the intake he told me it robbed power and I should do a before and after test with it to prove to myself, and guess what he was right. It's out now and I'm just thrilled at the new setup."

"I had a re mapping service that I had done by (company name removed) when I first got the bike and the bike had an annoying issue of a hunting / wandering idle that I could never seem to make go away, and the other thing was the second map had a lurch / bog in it that I hated so never used. Not really sure if it was the tune or possibly just the bike since I did the flash before really even riding it when it was new. Then I saw in a Facebook group that Taco had a new tune option and even a $99 deal for guys like me with an already tuned ECU so I went for it thinking what did I have to lose. Well now that I have my Taco ECU back I'm pleased to give you guys the report that the problems are gone. This is the bike I wish I had from day one. Thanks so much you guys for fixing my bike finally! 2024 Husqvarna FE501, riding mostly in western New Jersey and the East Coast woods."

"ECU Tune Comparison between the TacoTune and the (company name removed) ecu tune on a 2023 FE 350s
Throttle Response: The (company name removed) tune felt like it had an exponential throttle curve, meaning throttle response ramped up quickly as I twisted the grip. In contrast, the TacoTune felt very linear and predictable, which gave me more confidence in tight technical sections.
Low RPM Performance & Flameouts: The (company name removed) tune improved low RPM behavior compared to stock, it did help with flameouts, but didn’t eliminate them entirely. It still felt a bit boggy at the bottom of the gear range. Where the TacoTune really stood out was in that same low RPM range especially when I was lazily leaving the bike in second gear when I probably should’ve been in first. The bike lugged better and was far less prone to stalling, which is huge for a rider like me who’s still improving clutch control.
Reliability & Codes: One major downside to the (company name removed) tune: it triggered a check engine light related to the O2 sensor. I had performed an O2 delete, and even with the (company name removed) dongle, the light persisted. I reached out to (company name removed) and was told this sometimes happens and there’s nothing they can do about it. It was annoying and distracting. The Taco tune had zero issues, no check engine lights, no codes, just plug-and-play.
Final Thoughts: Honestly, the (company name removed) tune isn’t bad. If it were the only option out there, I’d still be reasonably happy—except for the damn check engine light, which drove me nuts. That said, the TacoTune is the clear winner. It’s more noob-friendly, makes the bike feel more responsive and alive, and significantly improves rideability—especially in slow, tricky New England terrain."
