It’s advisable to replace the filter during the first 30-50 hours of bike service as that’s when the most brush carbon is being shed from the pump motor as they bed in, and every 100-150 hours thereafter.
ProTip - when installing the new hoses, carefully heat them with a hair dryer to slightly soften the rigid material to make installation over the filter easier and apply grease to slide area.
